5" by 7" photograph of Sophia Warner Bronson. She is Jane Bronson Cartanos maternal grandmother. The photograph is when she was 17 years old and going to her first dance. She was the mother of David Edgeworth Bronson, father of Jane Cartano. She married Seymour Bronson. His family was descended from Sir Edgeworth, who had two daughters and a son, and about four wives. One of the daughters came to the United States. Another daughter, Myria Edgeworth, is an English-Irish novelist and poet. The other daughter came to New York, and married a Whitney. One of their daughters was Melissa who married a Bronson. One of their sons was the great grandson of Jane Cartano, Seymour Bronson. He was a wealthy man who was financially ruined in the panic in the 1890s. He married Sophia and had six children.
